GENERAL ADMINISTRATION MBA  Courses,  Australia Australia

Commencing in the beginning of 2004-one year.This programme is circulated provisionally, subject to availability of the programme from the Government of Australia.

Upper age limit-Officers should not be more than 45 years of age on the date of commencement of the course

Officers already possessing MBA degree, should not apply for this programme.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION Courses  on  Public Administration at IIAP & ENA, Paris. France

Commencing in Sept./Oct. of 2004, for a period of  11 months.

The training programme on Public Administration at ENA and IIAP is imparted in French Language. Selection to this programme is made on the basis of written tests and interviews    conducted by the French Authorities.   Candidates not proficient in the French language may also apply as candidates shortlisted by the Embassy on the basis of performance in the test/interview, will be imparted training in the French language by the French authorities.             
         The lower age limit prescribed by the French Government is 35 years of age. Upper age limit is 45 years of age.
          The officers finally   selected may be required to proceed to France 2-3 months in advance of the actual commencement of the training, for undergoing intensive training in French Language.

INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT STUDIES Master’s Programme in International Development Studies Tokyo, Japan

This course is scheduled  toCommence in October, 2004 for a period of 1 year

This is a new programme offered by Government of Japan during the last two-three years. It is being circulated in anticipation of its availability during 2004.  

Candidates should preferably hold Honours Degree in Economics and should not be above 45 years of age. 


The number of slots expected to be available to India is either one or  two.

Any other long term programme in Japan that may become available during 2004.                                       

The upper age limit prescribed  by Government of Japan for  some of these programmes  is 40 years

       In   addition   to    the   long   term    programmes  listed   above,   options   are   also    invited   from  candidates for   any long term  programme, in general,  that may become available in the future but  details  of  which  are not available to  this Department  at present.  Some  of the programmes   anticipated  to be available are Masters in Development Management at Asian Institute of Management,Manila  (commencing  in  June, 2004),    MBA  in  Public  Service  at  University of  Birmingham,  UK (commencing   in  October,  2004).    Eligible    officers   may  indicate  their  options for any such long term programmes (Code No.4E4)  in  response  to   this circular.

4.  Any other short term training programme in Japan that may become  available to this Department

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

1.  IMF Course on   Financial D.C., USA Programming & Policy

Washington D.C., USA Courses to take place during 2004. Upper age limit- Officers should not be more than 52 years of age on the date of commencement of the Course. DD1

2.  IMF Course on  Macro EconomicManagement and Financial Sector Issues

Duration  -approximately of   1  to  2 months. Candidates applying should possess academic degree in Economics. DD2

3.  IMF Course on National  Accounts Statistics

The particular programme applied for should be related to the current posting of the applicant DD5

And any other IMF Course that may Become available.

 

 In addition to the short   term  programmes  listed  above,  options  are     also  invited from candidates for any short term programme, in general, that may  become    available in the future but details of which are not  available  to this Department  at present.Accordingly, eligible officers may indicate   their    options     for     any   such     short term   programme   (Code No.CC4) in  response to this circular.
