The MoEF vide letter no. 17-20/2003-RT dated September 20, 2004 have requested willingness of the State Forest Departments (SFDs) to organize short-term refresher courses for the frontline staff in their forest training institutes/schools. All arrangements for organizing the course including resource persons will have to be made by the SFDs. The expenses for the courses will be borne by the MoEF. A copy of the course contents for the refresher course has also been forwarded to the states.
Vide letter No.17-20/2003-RT dated April 29, 2005, MoEF has requested the state governments to forward proposals for organizing courses during the year 2005-06 also. As on May 31, 2005, proposals have been received from more than 15 states.
